Could someone please tell me if that disc will be a good help to calibrate a Sony VPL-AW15?
I have the Laserdisc and DVD versions and at that time changed the way to watch films on TV. But a projector is different.

Absolutely. I used it to calibrate my 1080p LCD projector, and 7.1 audio system.

If you want to get that 1080p picture correct, then yes, by all means. The demonstration clips will also show off your system.
