    Help.. Problems with Audio

    Ok, here is my setup..

    I have Two HDMI sources.

    A Toshiba HD-DVD HD-A20
    A Dish Network HD-DVR

These are connected via HDMI cable to a 4x1 HDMI switch

This then goes into the HDMI IN on an ONYKO HT-SR800

The HDMI Out goes to a 1x2 HDMI Amp

    These then go to:

    A Viewsonic N3752w

    A Mitsubishi HC 1500

The Video works perfectly, I can see either source on both screens.

    The problem is the Audio.

I have the audio hooked uped via components from the sources to the ONYKO Reciever.

The HD-DVD Player to the DVD connection.
The DVR to the SAT connection.

Watching a DVD i get sound from the Home Theater, none from the Viewsonic.
Watching the Sat, I get no sound, unless change to the SAT channel on the Reciever, then I lose the picture..

    Any Ideas??

I could be wrong, but usually the HDMI out from your receiver does not pass audio.

edit: I'm a little confused by your picture as well.. is the red audio and black HDMI?

You shouldn't need either of the red cables. HDMI carries audio and video to the receiver. And it still sounds like the receiver is not passing the audio via the HDMI output (might just be a setting or something).

Have you done any baseline tests? If after checking the settings like Chuck suggests, try swapping cables on the inputs to the HDMI switcher, then swap outputs on the HDMI amp. If nothing changes, this will allow you to eliminate those cables and HDMI boxes as causes. Keep it up until you've identified everything that is working properly....

What appears to be the problem to me is that you've got one video in/out and two audio inputs. Unless you're able to assign different audio inputs to the same video in/output this would explain your problem.

I would do what others had suggested by trouble-shooting individual A/V sources; see if you can get your desired result with just one input device and one of your viewing/listening devices. After you've got one of your input devices working with one Tv's and your receiver move on to the other. I would try to get both input devices working correctly before I moved on to the Tv's.
