    crossover help

    Hello...

I need some help understanding 3 way crossovers as it relates to ohm load.
My crossover is listed at 8ohms

    1. Do they add load to the cabinet?

    2. the 8 ohms - is that referring to what the load for each part should be? (8 ohms high, 8 ohms mid, 8 ohms bass) or does it refer to what the output will be? or both?

    3. If I have 3 8 ohm speakers attached do I wind up with 2.67 ohms? I need >4ohms for my amp.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Chris

I first became aware of the Odyssey brand over four years ago.

About the time I got my Rotel RB-1090 was when I was seriously looking at their power amp product line, however I never got past the point of browsing their web site before getting the Rotel (in fact, a dear friend and former...

    load/ohm question from guitar guy
    by Lex
Jon/others, a guitar guy asked me a question, I guess because I seemed pretty knowledgable about loads and impedence. But I still want to make sure I am thinking right on this...

    Here was his question:

I figure since the amp is rated at a 4 or 8 ohm load,...
