I got a 46" 1080p Samsung late last year and it had to be replaced twice. My buddy Dave had to have his 40" F replaced twice....

My first one was DOA and the second was two HDMI ports failed. Dave's was the IR sensor not working and two HDMI ports failed.

All is well now with both though. PQ is top notch and that 37" 1080p can be had for silly money now.

it seems all the new models only have reviews on major problems. PQ is good but common!

      guess he'll have to wait

I own a BD-P 1200 Blu-ray Player, and it's crap. Tech support is a joke and completely worthless. I will never buy anything by Samsung again. :M

Don't think I'd get a Toshiba TV... Panasonic or Sony probably.

Huh... I bought two Samsung flatscreen LCD's in the last 9 months, no problems I can see.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I was equally surprised, while the sampling seems small due to them being very new models there is clearly a problem

Peter I think the problem is not as big as it seems. You never really hear about the people that don't have problems its always the small number of them that do that you hear the most from. It happens with anything that comes out. Like the Xbox 360 you heard of all these people that had issues I bought one of the first consoles released and never had an issue.
