My television is a Sony KDF-50E2000 and I'm curious if I'll have any HDMI issues with a Marantz SR4002 connected to the TV and a PS3, Xbox 360 Elite, and Oppo 980 connected to the Marantz. I don't know if it's a big deal that my TV is not v1.3 or anything of that nature. Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks in advance.
Will I have HDMI issues?

Yes, no, maybe.. Possibly not in that order though..
Not a big deal that your TV isn't 1.3, but you'll either have to find someone with the exact system or a combination of different systems with some of the same devices to know for sure. Welcome to HDMI world, its not an exact science yet.

Hi,
Well, I decided to go with the Marantz DV 9500. Problem is, that it only has HDMI connection and the Marantz SR 8500 receiver does not have HDMI, but has DVI. I found an adaptor that converts HDMI Male to DVI Female.

by clint78zI ran into many of the hdmi issues most people face. My laptop has HDMI output, with no seperate SPDIF output port. Initially I thought I would just run the HDMI --> TV, then TOSlink to my amp. Little did I know most TV's downmixes digital signal to 2 channel.
I am happy to say that...-

by AeromosI'm comparing some entry level receivers noted below. I'm hoping someone has had any experience with any of these or have compared them. These are all pretty much within the $500-600 range (Canadian). Of course like most receivers today they all have auto set-up.
