Does anyone know if all HD DVD come with the standard DVD also? Every HD DVD has both versions but only 1/2 are listed as a dual format disc.
I have a HD DVD for the bedroom TV and was planning on getting on the the new PS3 40Gig packages which come the the Spiderman Blu Ray compiled disc for the living room. I was going to use this in conjunction with my Denon upscaling player. I am an XBox 360 guy, so I would rather have a stand alone Blu Ray player for the rack, but I have read the PS3 is the best performing option and the only one with HDMI 1.3. Are there any stand alone player that performs better than the PS3?
Also, does anyone have any good locations for purchasing HD DVD or Blu-Ray discs? I typically compare prices between Best Buy, Target, Walmart, & Amazon. I found that the release week you usually get the best pricing at Best Buy and Target. If you don't get it the release week the pricing goes up.
