Have you looked at Gefen? www.gefen.com. They have a lot of different converters and are relatively cheap. I think another company is Octavia. I'm not sure about the spelling but they are somewhere on the east cost like North Carolina. Both have remote controls that you can add to your learning remote macro. At one point, I checked into if the harmony remotes supported them and both manufactures were listed.- Bottom

If there is such a thing, it would require D->A conversion which means $$$ if you want quality. You'd be better off getting a new entry-level receiver.Originally posted by meltdownIs there any HDMI convertors to annalog for audio out there that I dont have to spend a fortune on. Both splitters work well when splitting...-

by Chris DQuite a thread title, I guess. Perhaps I should subtitle it, "or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb... I mean, theater."
As the title says, I've added HDMI 1.3 audio decoding to my home theater, centered around the Parasound C1 home theater controller. As...-

by Chris DSo, it's happening... HDMI 1.4 is in the final stages of work, and will likely be released within the month. You can expect to see products start showing up after New Year's, and more prevalent throughout 2010. Here's what you need to know.

by Chris DYikes. I just went to a conference on HDMI, and it was NOT pretty. Had representatives from HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, Microsoft, two cable companies, and various manufacturers of A/V equipment, in addition to some industry experts like Joe Kane.
I knew we were in trouble with HDMI standards...-
