    WHy lip synch issues?

I have two discs, both concerts, Don Henley and Live at Knebworth, that are not synched. The audio is about 1/2 second or maybe more behind the video.
    Is there a fix?
Cheap magnavox dvd player, using coaxial to a sony es 30 reciever. I know there are no adjustments on my components, but are there players/recievers that are adjustable?

What type of TV are you using? Some have processing built in that will delay the video a bit.

Audio behind the video is usually a DVD player problem. Try another player, or try analog audio to see if the problem still occurs. Does your receiver have an audio delay setting?

It is a phillips 32" crt, non (sadly!) hd.
It is a problem only on a couple of discs, most are spot on. Only concerts, I have never seen the problem w/ movies.

          1066 delay
          by opus
          Hey Guy and Gals,

Back again for hopefully another simple question.

I always noticed a audio delay when using my rsp 1066 and also having the audio coming from the tv when watching HD programming. The 1066 was always a little ahead of the tv but this was easily fixed...

          Lip Sync with SSP-300
          by begood
I have owned an SSP-300 for about a month and really love the sound. However, for some reason I cannot get the video and sound to match. I am hoping someone with similar equipment can tell me their lip sync delay setting. I have owned several prepros/receivers and never had a problem setting the...

          RSX-1055 and lip sync issues?
          by meridian506
          Hi all,

I've just bought a RSX-1055 that I'm using as a pre-pro - I've "down-graded" from a Meridian 861v2 processor, since I needed some cash due to my recent engagement! First impressions in my own room are that it is amazingly close to the Meridian. So close as to not concern...

          Subwoofer sound delay
          by aer0blue
I recently got an Onkyo 606. The speakers work well, except for the subwoofer. Whenever music plays, I can hear the crisp bass line/drum on the sorround/frontal speakers, but all that comes from the subwoofer is a delayed "woom". It doesn't synch with the music.

          What may be...
