Thanks, I'm trying to get the best picture out of the infocus x1 Right now is doing 480p. anyway to get a better picture or do I need to upgrade to get one.

Upgrading would provide you a better picture via 720p, the 1080p is still a bit expensive for my taste. You can get a decent 720p for around $1500.00 or less. I believe the picture quality is worth it. I would probably wait until you need a new lamp and use that cost towards the new projector.

However, if you can afford the 1080p it is definitely worth consideration, starting at ~3K. The best thing to do is to go look for yourself, of course your visual mileage may vary. You also would need to consider an upconverting DVD player/HD player as a supplemental purchase.

I kinda thought so, I went to best buy today. The up convert dvd players aren't that bad $$$ money wise. So if I just ran a HDMI wire to the x1 with the adapter,it wouldn't be worth it in your opinion? I was looking at the x3 but I think I need a pj with a HDMI imput with at least 720p native to see any kind of difference. My wife's gonna flip... I just finished the living room with the crown molding, the wire's are hidden behind it, And i would to remove a section to run a HDMI wire....PAIN IN THE AS$

I honestly don't know, I believe I bought it on e-bay. Works well. If you want a close up picture I can post it.
