    NAD Master's Series

    Hello all,

New to this forum, but looking forward to the new experience.

So I am getting rid of the boston acoustic speakers, the Denon amp and JVC dvd player and am looking to replace everything with the following.

    B&W 804S & HTM2D
NAD Master's Series AMP PRE AMP and DVD

What do you all think about the NAD Master Series? Does anyone currently run them?

Gee theat NAD processor looks just like what I'm after. The only thing holding me back is the price!

I've not sat down and compared the NAD to others. But I will pass this along:
A dealer friend whom I've known for many years carries NAD and Rotel as well as more expensive lines. He is a Rotel believer at it's price point. After having heard the NAD Master series, he was really impressed with it. I would not let his opinion sway my decision but it would indeed make me take the time to give it a good audition. He has carried the NAD and Rotel lines for years and always leaned towards Rotel. The Master Series although more expensive than the classic NAD does seem to have raised the bar. I would give it a good listen against comparable equipment with the speakers you will be using.

Dynaudio ran their Confidence C4 (US$12000) with the M3 (US4500) integrated and M55 multi-player at a recent audio expo in Germany....on their website they state "excellent" performance and from that I gathered that the new Masters series is hitting hard!!! It must be something special from NAD...

            Thanks to all that replied,

I am strongly pushing for the NAD at this point.

            Now here is a question.

The M55 Digital Disc Player has a very nice chipset. I currently have the Pioneer Elite PRO-930HD TV and wanted to know that when hooking the DVD player up using the HDMI connection that this signal will not be reformatted by the TV?

Does anyone know who that works?

Chris, you think wayyyy too much like me. Darrin, NAD can be considered an abbreviation of gonad. And that is . . . well, hit the dictionary. :B

I know what gonad is, but I am really trying to understand why the thought producing sperm comes to mind when we are talking HT?

But to each their own :T

NAD Masters Series processor / amplifier
                        by Rusty1066
                        Hi all,

I am looking for a pre-processor / amp combo with an eye for quality Stereo sound as well as surround sound.

My local retailer has recommended I check out the NAD Masters Series products (M15 processor, M25 amp) but doesn't have any in stock to demo yet.

                        by Dave-in-AZ
                        Hello,

I am the proud new owner of a pair of B&W 800D speakers. I am thrilled to have them and, for my ears, I'm not sure a pair of speakers can sound much better in a home setting for less than many times what I paid for the 800D. That, of course, is highly debatable, so please...

                        NAD goes NCORE
                        by JonMarsh
NAD has released a new power amplifier based on NCORE technology, though they haven't identified which one- as the web site says it's using the latest, I would presume that means it's NCORE 1200 derived.
