Hddvd Bluray War Is Over New Technology

Amazing as it sounds the War is over. A British company has found a new way to read DVD discs up to 10 layers. One machine will be able to read both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD and even more.

Don't buy your machine just yet. This is great news for US

What is needed is a player that will play all discs, not a disc that will play in all players.

Interesting to see the production cost of a current disc: 6 cents!

Come to think of it, a 100 dvd+r blanks can sell as low as $15(with rebate, or generally selling around $28). For $.15 each and they are still making huge profit(the manufactor and the reseller). Otherwise it wouldn't be so many companies for making these blanks. And even for the price of $28 for a 100 disks, regular computer users with DVD burners are still burning DVDs like crazy for backing up and giving stuff to friend(I used to have every new copies of back up every couple of months..... even my hard drives never break down). Whenever come to computer now, the most expensive parts is the labor, the technology takes hold but not as much as previous days anymore
