Who has the HT cabinet with the cherry trim?

Over the weekend I saw a post with a photograph of a very nice HT set-up. The cabinet for the HT gear featured cherry trim, mostly oriented horizontally. I would like to test the WAF of such a design but sadly I've been unable to re-trace my footsteps and find the right thread, post, and photograph. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Could it be the pic in post #7 of this thread?

The cabinet is the "Amano" from Designs Unlimited. It's the first cabinet on page 1 of the site:

That's the one! Thanks, Shadow. Very tasteful, especially with the matching speakers. I think I might be able to use this to get approval for my next round of speaker-building as long as it seems like a natural progression from an appropriate piece of furniture!

I did the same thing. I showed my wife the pic. She saw all the other pics & then preferred this one. More of a classical design which she loves.

        Good luck, Martyn

Yes, I prefer cherry wood on many furniture items too. Both of my Salamander A/V racks are cherry, and the one in my bedroom also has side panels and a cherry door that makes it look even better. You can search here in forums for my equipment rack pictures.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Ambitious cabinet design for Nat P!
            by Johnnz
            Hi all,
I have finally ordered parts to make the Nat P's (floor standing versions ala "Yet another Nat P thread"). This coincides with setting up my own workshop so it will be one of my first projects that will include veneering as part of the finishing.
            So, below is my planned...

Questions RE front 3 for cabinet
            by ibilisi
Hello all, I was hoping you could help with something. My friend recently purchased a pretty nice DLP TV (panny 50) and is currently refinishing his basement. His mother is a woodworker and is finishing a new cabinet for him in cherry for the new basement. This friend and I built a couple pairs of...

HTM1 tilted downwards In my Cabinet!! Good or Bad?
            by chinets
            Hi Everyone,
I have a large cabinet with all my equipment in it and the T.V. is in the middle of it all. The HTM1 is above the T.V. which is about two meters of the floor but, around less than half a meter above the T.V.
I therefore tilted the HTM1 downwards with a One Inch piece...

            Cabinet rebuild progress ...
            by TurboFC3S
I just want to show what can be done for those of us with nowhere to work on building cabinets from scratch. I've been doing this on my kitchen floor and the back porch.

These cabs started life as Wharfedale Emerald 87's. It's a 2.5 way, the cab was decently well constructed with...

            Fading Cabinet Finish
            by BW4me
I've been looking at some used b&w speakers and noticed on a few that the finish had faded everywhere but where the grill covered. This made me think I should maybe just stay with black even though it's not what I prefer.

Is this just a natural problem that will happen with any real...
