I-link? What DVD player do you have with a 1394 output?
But to the point, 1394 or i-link send compressed video, uses the MPEG decoder in the set. Which may or may not be better than the one in the DVD deck.
In general, I'd vote HDMI fr the SXRD.

I concur with Brandon I would vote in the following order:
1) HDMI
2) Component
3) I-Link
However, that being said, the best way to determine is to try each one, HDMI sometimes allow upconversion, Component rarely allows upconversion, and I am uncertain about I-Link specs.
Just my quick thoughts, YMMV.
Peace and blessings,

Yeah it really depends on the player and the set. If the DVD player has a really good component out and the TV has a really good component in and does upscaling better than the player you might get a better picture than a poorly upscaled picture from the player via HDMI....etc
Most likely though, HDMI will be your best bet.Jason- Bottom
