    Questions about seperates...

I thought I knew a thing or two about home theater... until I joined this forum! I would like to know a little bit more about processors, pre/pros, amps and all that other good stuff. :B

Say I would like to eventually get a nice 700-series set up going. A pair of 703s up front, an HTM7 for center and some 705s in the back with a nice sub.

What kind of power do I need to power all that? And can someone explain to me exactly why? What component would serve what function and why? Since I am looking at Rotel components (or drooling) I guess we can use their models as examples.

I guess what I am trying to find out is at what point is, for example, a Rotel RSX-1067 or RSX-1056 too "little" and when do you start seperating out the processor and the seperate amps?

    Depends

What is the size of your room? Is it acoustically live or dead (or "average")? These things play into the amount of watts you need to drive those speakers, in addition to the sensitivity of the drivers.

Mickster, I would say the room is average accoustically and the size of the room is about 15 feet by 30 feet.
