Seeking a PAL to NTSC-capable DVD player

I am interested in obtaining some foreign films on DVD which will be in PAL. I would like to find a DVD player that converts PAL to NTSC so I can use it with my U.S. spec Mitsu RPTV. I know about the Oppos but they only do PAL to NTSC through DVI/HDMI. I have an older set that only supports component or S-video input. What I would like to find is a PAL to NTSC player that will convert progressive PAL to progressive NTSC and feed into component inputs. It should also properly handle PAL anamorphic widescreen too. I also really don't want to spend more than about $200 to $250 tops, since this will be a secondary player. Anybody can suggest a player available in the U.S. that will meet these specs? Thanks.

I Purchased a rsq karaoke 505g for my kids a 3years ago it is a dvd player that plays just about everything. I think it does what your asking but I am not sure (never really tried) do a little research on it. I see tham for like 269 right now but I only paid 199 brand new from some seller online with 20 new cd-g's and 2 cheap mic's. I googled and found this.

The RSQ DVD-505G combination player is a complete entertainment package.
Watch DVD movies with 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound that makes you feel
    you're part of the action.
Relax to CD music through crystal clear processing, or get the gang together
for an evening of Karaoke singing. Just follow the words on your TV screen
and let the fun begin. Whether you choose DVD, VCD (these have a video
background) or CD+G (lyrics only), not to worry, it will play them all,
including discs from other countries that support the PAL system. Also
included are 2 microphone inputs, digital echo, a 13 step digital key
control that will not distort the music as it changes key (a big complaint
about some other players), a one-touch multiplex button to turn the lead
vocal on or off so you can practice the number to get it just right, and a
    full function remote control.
The RSQ DVD-505G is a heavy duty player built with solid mechanisms and high
grade circuit boards for many years of superior sound DVD/CDG/MP3/VCD/SVCD/CDR/CDRW KARAOKE PLAYER
2 Microphone Inputs with Separate Volume Control
    13 Steps Digital Key Control
    Digital Echo Control
    Multiplex Function
    Direct Access
    Full Function Remote Control
    NTSC/PAL Compatibility
    Dual Voltage Support (110V/220V)

    DVD MOVIE
Dolby Digital 5.1 Channel Output (AC-3)
    DTS (Digital Theater System) Support
    Digital Audio Output (Optical/Co-axial)
    Component Video Output
    Zoom/Multi-Angle
    Programmable

I believe the Rotel players are selectable. But I don't think any player will "convert" software.

Like I said before I have never tried this but I think the 505 will convert it (call and find out) I have heard this

"There are two TV video standards, NTSC and PAL. NTSC is used in North America, and PAL is used almost everywhere else in the world. Most hardware devices (DVD or VCD players) that play PAL video resolution out on a NTSC monitor correctly will cut approximately 24 lines of resolution from the top and bottom of a PAL image.
PAL has 352 X 288 video resolution. This PAL to NTSC video conversion / truncation problem does not exist when viewed on a PC monitor as the PC just displays the whole image"

and also while I am not positive about the rsq 505g player ability to play pal on a ntsc tv here are some that do convert http://www.dvdoverseas.com/store/ind...talog86_0.html

My Marantz DV4300 has no trouble with PAL or NTSC.
