    Marantz 7400 + either Rotel 1040 or marantz 6500

    Hello,

    I have a marantz 7400 + 603 bw +sunfire sub, I want to upgrade my DVD to either a Rotel 1040 or Marantz 6500. I will listen to music 50/50. Please give me your opinion

      I have the rotel rsx1056 and the 603s3's,i upgraded my dvd player to the 6500 and it's a nice peice.The PQ is film like and the dvda/sacd is a plus over the rotel 1040.

There isn't a major price difference, but someone said the rotel has excellent dvd (24-bit/192 kHz ) and the marantz (54MHz/10bit). I will listen to music 50/50. Please give me your opinion...

          Not noticed beter sound...loike other people said. It´s posible that cable conexion betwen marantz (preouts)----->Rotel in....down quality to Rotel?
