The P6's show a sensitivity of 90 db, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms which can dip to just below 4 ohms at peak. That indicates (on paper) you don't really need a heavy-hitter power amp. Something in a "good" receiver would probably work nicely up to a point, but that 4 ohm loading will cause you some loss of dynamics/compression especially when driving them hard. Having said that, better amplification will give you better sound so go for the best you can afford.

        Price for preowned 802D2's
        by mpauline
I sold my 803D2's last year and kept my HTM2D. I am looking to buy some 802D2's. Is $10800 Canadian a good price for a preowned set? I could also maybe try and find some new ones however I think the best I can do is probably a 20% discount. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out I was hooking my Yamaha rxv-2095 up as a preamp correctly. They sold me a dead amp!
        by BKSinAZ
As most of you know, I just bought a RMB-1095 amp today...new in a sealed box. My first Rotel product. When I took it home, I attempted to hook my Yamaha RXV-2095 receiver up as a preamp to the RMB-1095. I thought I was hooking the Yami up incorrectly, but from reading the post it turns out I was doing...
