My first piece of gear was a Pioneer receiver, probably 1979 or 1980.I sunk $400.00 into it, it was used. The analog am/fm glowed orange.Pretty damn cool. The face was silver and the all the knobs were faceted. It weighed a ton. I couldn't afford any speaker, so I would just roll the tuning dial back and forth centering on radio stations until I got some speakers
In wood shop (I was in eleventh grade) I made boxes for a pair of 6x9 car speakers, sealed of course. The boxes were probably12"Wx7"Tx15"(deep).I made triangle wooden pieces that got screwed to the sides to angle them up from the floor.
My dad was so pissed off that I spent the $400.00 . That pioneer lasted me about five years. Here is my LCR "Trio". Way to go guys !- Bottom

Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...-

You can use a smaller pipe diameter, however that limits the max SPL (because of the air velocity) and would be a sin for a driver with...-

In Windows XP there's a file called SYSTEM in the %SYSTEMROOT%SYSTEM32CONFIG directory. On my system it was about 3.5 MB. Apparently it is quite essential to Windows XP operations. WinXP kept booting up saying it was corrupt and that I should repair it with my WinXP disk.... -

by jmc_htguideWhat a great resource this forum is. I have been reading for several weeks and would like to get pointers to tweak my system. I will be purchasing this system when the new LG 1080p DLP Rear Projection unit comes out (proposed June 2005). Until then I will be finalizing my components and cable requirements....-
