Still Hope for a Unified HD DVD Format

The latest article I saw said from Sony's mouth that the only way they will agree(with that they do agree one is needed) is that HD DVD basically give up an adopt Blu Ray as the standard. Typical Sony.

Personally I think the whole "Unified Hope" is more of a prayer than a reality.

Maybe the Holographic Versatile Disc will make some progress and we can kick HD DVD and Blu-Ray right to the curb :T
