    LG Brings HD DVD/Blu-ray Combo Drive to Your PC

    LG's launching a combo unit that plays both formats (plus standard CD/DVD) and will record to CD/DVD and BD (not HD-DVD though)! :P But at *cough* $1200US MSRP 8O ...you may want to wait a tad until it has some competition and volume to drive prices south :lol:

      Hmmmm, I'll wait. Just a thought, how much are the blank discs?

          Those have been out a while. I even saw HD-DVD r's at the store...can't remember how much but I want to say something like 2 bucks a disk.

              I am starting to research the new HDDVD and blue ray technology that is coming out and im worried. Worried about what? Is it that there will be 2 competing technologies...

What I need to know is why is that combo almost 1k more then the receiver? I keep reading that seperates are more flexible and upgradable. However...
