I currently have a Denon 5083A with B&W 800Ds (front), N802s in the rear. I am considering buying a new HT amp... I like the new Denon 5805 specs with the room eq... I've also read excellent reviews on the Lexicon RV-8. integrated amp. I also have Classe CAM 350s to power the fronts with either solution as well as a classe stereo amp with HT pass thru for 2 channel listening... What amp would you go with?
Denon 5085 or Lexicon RV-8?

I would go with the Denon for a couple of reasons.
The sound quality is great, esily comparable to the Lexicon(IMO).
The 5805, is extremely versatile and can be configured in sooo many different ways, from a 10.1 system to two 5.1 systems etc.
But better still is the Audyssey Room Eq. on the Denon.
You already have the 5803, how do you find the sound?
Lastly, listen to them both.
I suppose you will be running the pre outs of the two front channels to the CAM 350's. Way to go.- Bottom

by HootleheadFirst post here ...
I have a new system on order (still time to change): 802N's for the front, HTM3S center, ASW750 sub, (2) SCM1 surrounds along with (2) Definitive UIW-BPZ/A's (in the ceiling). Power right now is to be a Rotel 1067, coupled with a 1080 for the mains. What are your thoughts?...-

Currently my 2ch system consists of an Accuphase DP-67 cd player, an Accuphase E-308... - Loading...
