    opinions on some Polk RTs.....

thinking about picking up some polks, the Rt-800 fronts, the CS-400 center, and some RT35s for rears. I have heard good things, but wanted some opinions from the nice guys here in the forum. any info at all will help with my decision.

I have a pair of RTi 38s with the CSi 30 center for the front of my HT. I keep thinking I shoula got the CSi40 center, but it cost twice as much. I like them. I don't get to spend as much time listening as I would like, and I got a good price. Circuit City was blowing them out to bring in the new line. I paid a bit under $400 for all three speakers with the MI sales tax. I think you should enjoy the Polks you mentioned. Then again, I've been a Polk fan since 1974. The RTs replaced my Monitor 7s.

I got this guy down to $650 for everything, he sent me pics, they look good, and he promised me all sounds as new.
should I jump on this, or wait and buy brand new, newer model speakers.....?
      he is awaiting my reply
      thanks again

I personally cant stand the way the new polk line looks.... I do have rti100's, csi30, and rti28's and I like them. They sound good, they perform good, they look good - all that really matters in a speaker I guess. $650 sound pretty cheap, might be hard to pass up.

          RB1080...how much better?
          by resperc
I just bought a 1068/1075 combo and I am loving it. It's a huge upgrade over the Onkyo reciever I was using. Home theater and music (stereo) both sound great. I was considering adding the RB1080 for my front speakers. I have decent speakers (Polk Audio-RT55s, CS400, FX500s and PSW650...need to upgrade...

Hi all. Have browsed this forum a lot over the last few months. A fantastic site. Thanks.

OK, now my dilemma. I'm a newbie, so please be gentle and go easy on the jargon! I'm currently running a 2 channel set-up incorporating a pair of Polk LSi9s with a Rotel RA-1062 integrated and Rotel...

          by turbokuo
Wow, after 5 weeks of research and going to 3 different audio stores I had my heart set on N804 (used) and then I came home, popped in Nora Jones, plugged in my Polk LS70's, (9 years old but less than 30 hours of use, $1,100 a pair floor speakers) and gave them a good listen and guess what they sound...

          RB-1092 blow my Polks away?
          by rhubarbe
MY HT setup is RSP-1068/RMB-1077, and I'm lovin' it (with apologies to Ronald, et al). :B

I have a pair of Polk lc265i inwalls in my kitchen/sunlounge area. They are rated to 200WRMS and are 4Ohm.

Now, I am thinking of a RB-1092 which I can get as an ex-demo for £900...
