I cannot believe I am actually considering buying this thing (81lbs-500watts) but I think it would need its own amp correct? The thing has 6 drivers in it. Thanks for any replys!

I use the Paradigm C5 since 1 year already.
I'm powering it with the Anthem Statement P5 (5X325W)with great results. I even drive it full-range sometimes. The C5 goes down to 25Hz! :T
But what I really like about that center is this. It's under my screen (8' wide), but if an actor is on the far side of the screen, then the voice is really "coming" from there, even if it's 5' up and 4-5' left or right. "Imaging" is that good.
But what front speakers are you considering to be paired with the C5? The S8?To spend more $$$ on electronics without first addressing room acoustics is fruitless IMO.- Bottom

by KirbyI am considering one of these, probably the 300. Does anybody own one? I have a problem in that the dealer in my area will only order as needed so I am not able to demo a unit. Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way I have PSB speakers, Image, Century and alphas.-

by jk@homeHey Folks
I'm using an RSX-1055 receiver (75 watts x 5) to power a Paradigm Studio system that I am in the process of building, for HT and casual music listening only.
Started off with 20v3s, then added a 570 center. This last spring I traded the 20s for 60s, and plan...-

by DL86I am looking at upgrading my center speaker to either a klipsch RC-64 or a paradigm CC-690. My current main speakers are a pair of paradigm studio 100v3. I have read about huge difference's in sound between klipsch and paradigm but I am after a more lively sound than what my studio 100's currently give...-
