I am considering one of these, probably the 300. Does anybody own one? I have a problem in that the dealer in my area will only order as needed so I am not able to demo a unit. Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way I have PSB speakers, Image, Century and alphas.

Yes, the Arcam 300. I have had it about 3 months and unfortunately it is up for sale. Not by choice, other expenses force me to sell.
The AVR300 has a refined, smooth sound, similiar to Arcam CD players. The 300 packs good punch for HT and provides a nice presentation in 2 channel listening. I have not used to SACD or DVD-A, however have used 5.1 DTS music discs.
What kind of gear are you upgrading from?
