Albums You Can Play Over And Over?

This is similar to Bammer's "Goose Bumps" thread, in that I'm interested in the albums that you can listen to again and again. Some of mine:

    Boney James - Seduction
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
    Evanescence - Fallen
Genesis - And Then There Were Three
    Pink Floyd - Meddle
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
    Queensryche - Promised Land
    Styx - Grand Illusion

    Soundtrack - Bladerunner
    Soundtrack - City Of Angels
    Soundtrack - Gladiator
    .

Fred, I've got this album on vinyl (a double-record set) and it sounds sweet - especially the first album.

                    Norah Jones - either one
Eva Cassidy - any of them (particularly "Songbird")
David Gray - White Ladder (but New Day at Midnight is very good also)
                    Son Volt - Trace
                    Beck - Sea Change
Beatles - Abbey Road (although I would probably argue any of them)
                    Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Van Morrison - Moondance, Greatest Hits (any of them?)
                    Cypress Hill - Black Sunday

Mike, i have to agree with Pearl Jam - Ten. Vs. is also moderately good. Their earlier music was better than the latest stuff. I've been listening to Ten the last 3 weeks or so quite often again.

                                      Other albums:

                                      Seether - Disclaimer

Ohhh.. Alice Cooper Constrictor was his best! And Raise Your Fist and Yell is a close second.
"I'm a teenage frankenstein, local freak with a twisted mind" Brilliant lyricist.

                                                G'day,

A short list of albums that I never get tired of listening to:

                                                Jazz:
Miles Davis - "Kind Of Blue" (1959, Columbia)
Miles Davis - "In A Silent Way" (1969, Columbia)
                                                -- no explanation necessary

The Necks - "Drive By" (2003, Fish Of Milk)
-- 60min minimilist piece by Aussie trio. See also "Sex" (1989), "Aquatic" (1994), for similar excursions

Dexter Gordon - "One Flight Up" (1964, Blue Note)
-- "Go" and "Our Man In Paris" were contenders, but this live recording is the one I play the most

Keith Jarrett - "The Sun Bear Concerts" (1980, ECM)
-- why choose the single disc "Koln" when you've got 6 CD's to choose from here?

                                                Rock:
Dire Straits - "Love Over Gold" (1982, Vertigo)
-- my first CD (even though I didn't get a CD player for another 5 years)

Led Zeppelin - "IV" (1971, Atlantic)
-- as if you need me to describe this to you

                                                Tool - "Lateralus" (2001, Zomba)

Tarentel - "From Bone To Satellite" (2001, Temporary Residence)
-- Lengthy instrumental numbers from San Francisco group, kinda like Mogwai vs Godspeed You Black Emperor)

Low - "The Curtain Hits The Cast" (1996, Vernon Yard)
-- Slow, sparse music from Duluth trio, from achingly beautiful numbers such as "Over The Ocean" to 17min drone fests

Red House Painters - "Ocean Beach" (1995, 4AD)
-- more of that slow, sparse guitar music. This one was more acoustic than other RCP releases. I also like Mark Kozelek's AC/DC covers

Spiritualized - "Lazer Guided Melodies" (1992, Dedicated)
-- Spirit of Velvet Underground fused with JJCale

Tea Party - "Edges Of Twilight" (1995, EMI)
-- Canadian blend of Zep, Doors, blues, and the far east

                                                Progressive Rock:

Genesis - "Selling England By The Pound" (1973, Charisma)

-- hard to pick just one out of this lot

Pink Floyd - "Dark Side Of The Moon" (1973, EMI)

Of course this is relative to the time, what I used to play over and over is a lot different then what I play over and over no, so I’ll make 2 categories.

I loved "The Sky Moves Sideways" (sorta Pink Floydish sound) and "Voyage 34" (a sorta ambient/dub/psychedelic trip). Other Porcupine Tree doesn't do much for me, however.
