    Two Great Albums

I just recently heard these two great albums, which involve Joshua Bell and a some other very fine musicians, which I'm sure some of you folks have heard of.

    Great recordings........Great Performances....Great Music!

So, I wanted to share and hopefully ....maybe turn someone else on to it.

Both these albums sport a " Down Home"......."Earthy" ....style of music. Country? Folk? Traditional? Bluegrass? ....with spice of Classical? Whatever you want to call it, these are amazingly, wonderful and pleasant albums to listen to. I just love the music on here.

    Heartland - An Appalachian Anthology

This album contains some wonderful music, from some very talented musicians. Artists such as Joshua Bell, Bela Fleck, James Taylor, Alison Krauss, Edgar Meyer and many more.

James Taylor's voice on " Johnny Has Gone For A Soldier " is just so smooth and melodic. Swwweeeeeeeeeeet :B

Short Trip Home: Bell, Meyer, Bush & Marshall

On this one, Joshua Bell, Mike Marshall, Edgar Meyer and Sam Bush.

They say this is a fusion of Country and Classical, and I can hear that in this music. It sounds fantastic. My ears are loving every minute....note of it.

Like I said, I simply love these two albums!!

Yeah, that would be interesting to hear Josh Bell playing a hybrid of the different styles of music.

And, as far as Alison Krauss. I first heard of her on this board and she's one of my favorites. Love seeing her on TV too. Just singing beautifully and being the authentic, non-affected woman she is.

Alison Krauss... a really down to earth gal with a wonderful voice. She is one of my favorites, too.

          Here's another excellent album.....

          Mark O'Connor: The American Seasons

All I can say is, go to Barnes & Noble.com......Tower.com.......or which ever virtual record store you prefer, and listen to the soundbytes from this album.

This is a very good and refreshing album.

              Bought my first DVD-A albums!
              by Chris D
Well, I've reached a new level of craziness. I just bought my first three DVD-A albums, but still don't own a DVD-A or SACD player. (sigh) By signing up for Silverline Records' newsletter, they sent me a free DVD-A sampler, and a Best Buy coupon. You could get $2 off Silverline DVD-A albums, up to a...

Albums You Can Play Over And Over?
              by David Meek
This is similar to Bammer's "Goose Bumps" thread, in that I'm interested in the albums that you can listen to again and again. Some of mine:

              Boney James - Seduction
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
              Evanescence - Fallen
Genesis - And Then There Were Three...
