Anyone out there familiar with this artist? He's a blues/R&B/rocker that just got a very good write-up in The Audiophile Voice. I've never heard him but I tried to pick up the reviewed CD - The Hard Way - and once again my attempt at an impulse-buy at Best Buy fizzled.

Yessir, the more I look into this album, the better it sounds. Here's a review from the All Music web site.
I noticed this album is a Telarc, and that gives me a "warm fuzzy" about the production values.
Oh, I've fixed the name in my first post. ops:.

That is one place I miss not living in Washington anymore...Silverplatters!!! I used to spend countless hours in their Sea-Tac and Tacoma locations. Very good staff, solid selection and a great enviornment to relax and sample music.
I never heard of this artist. I'll give him a listen."I have come here, to chew bubblegum and kickass. And I'm all out of bubblegum!!!"- Bottom

Here's the funny thing John,,,
The two "Silver Platters stores that you mentioned are the one's that I
visit most often (the one in Tacoma) has been closed for some time now though, The chances that You & I have met and talked music is pretty good
as I am always meeting folks there and talking music with them.
Heres an update, the store chain is getting a face lift in the fall and it also
sounds as if they will be going deeper into the Import stuff as well!!!
thier selection of DVDs is huge!!!Dave...- Bottom

You are probably right Dave! I've spoken with many people during those listening session. It's been 6 yrs since we've moved from there. I didn't live far from where you are now. It was just off of 224th & Pacific, just behind the Chevron station. Small world eh?!
We could have shared info on Tinsley Ellis! :W"I have come here, to chew bubblegum and kickass. And I'm all out of bubblegum!!!"- Bottom
