    SACD At Best Buy!

    Yessir, you read the subject line correctly. I've been to two separate Best Buys in the last couple of days and BOTH had dedicated SACD sections, and both had dedicated DVD-A racks, too. There were quite a number of SACD's titles. And most important, people were browsing them, and making comments such as "You've got to be careful, some are hybrid and some aren't"! What, informed consumers? OMG.

      Yup, they're all switching over. As a matter of fact, my wife is at BB right now. I asked her to buy the Chicago II DVD-A for me if it's there. They can be a bit pricier than the cheaper internet prices and the selection still sucks, but, nonetheless, having the dedicated SACD and DVD-A sections is a good thing. Hope they expand.

              I've bought a number of SACD titles at my local Best Buy, including the Police Greatest Hits, but they don't have many "obvious" disks that would sell well, such as Alison Krause. Still, it's good to have something local. I mainly buy hybrids, because the CD layers are down converted from SACD, and are generally excellent. My current CD setup is more "Hi Rez" than my SCD-777ES, so I mostly listen to CD.

                  Danbry39, were you able to find a copy of Chicago II on DVD audio ? Also For anyone interested... The Beach Boys Pet Sounds ABSOLUTLY Bleeeeew me away!!!!!!! A must buy for any Beach Boys Fan. :P

                          I know that this is probably old news to everyone, but here goes..... Frampton Comes Alive has been released 2 layers, stereo&multi. I could,nt help myself. gave away my remastered disc and bought this. Very nice improvement plus 4 extra tracks. If you liked this disc in the past & have M.C. capabilities try it out I don,t think you,ll be dissapointed.
