    Sinatra gone 5 years today

There isn't much this man recorded that I don't have in either vinyl or cd format, and though I listen to his work a lot, tonight will be special, as it marks 5 years since he passed away, and I plan to spin a few of my favorites. Later I'll play my favorite Sinatra movie, The Detective.

I don't own any of his music. I do however enjoy his screen work. A talent that is missed for sure.

I also don't have any Sinatra in my collection. The thing is that I really like some of his stuff. I went to Tower a couple of months ago to buy some, but was overwhelmed by the amount of material that's out there. I like much of his earlier big band stuff, a lot of the material he used in Broadway type shows, and later hits like "That's Life". The problem is that most of his "best of" packages deal with certain periods of his career and/or different recording labels.

I know that there's a DVDA scheduled to be released and I thought I'd start there. I've heard good things about it, but would like your opinion George. I believe it's called "Live at the Sands".

Keith,Live At The Sands is one of his best. I have the original 2 disc set on vinyl. Sinatra was always at his best during live performances, and he really shines on this one. You'll like it.

Oh, I also have that 2 cd set you bought on E-Bay. Terrific stuff on those discs.
