Do you need some up beat sax work? Checkout this David Sanborn

    Titled: Up Front

I own most a David Sanborn's work on album. None of which are what I would call "up beat". This cd is a nice change of pace from his usual mellow or as the industry would say "smooth' style of play.

The sound quality is imo, pretty standard for redbook cd. Nothing to write home about. Espeacially since this is a 92' release. As good as the music is on this disc, a little better mastering would have made this an exceptional disc.

This disc offers a lot of precussion work and has a touch of island sound to it. Also Eric Clapton and a few others join in here and there, for a tad of flare.

Take a minute out to give a sample listen!

        Hey PJ,

Thanks for the bites. Sounds like it maybe a winner! Let me know what you think once you get it.

        Lex,

I hope you get a chance to check it out. A lot of artist have copied David's style so, he is worth a look. And, as a spokes person for Jamo speakers, he must be half decent...yes! :rf

Just got my tickets to see Eric Clapton in Tampa on the third of May with Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

It was that or Santana with Derek Trucks.

I had to go with Clapton as I have never seen him live.

          The Remarkable Beat Roosters
          by bigburner
I bought a fabulous CD on Friday and have been listening to it all weekend.

"Live n Loose" by The Remarkable Beat Roosters who are a New Zealand R&B band that played in the mid 90's.

I particularly recommend track 5 "Blues Still Blue" which will...
