    The Remarkable Beat Roosters

I bought a fabulous CD on Friday and have been listening to it all weekend.

"Live n Loose" by The Remarkable Beat Roosters who are a New Zealand R&B band that played in the mid 90's.

I particularly recommend track 5 "Blues Still Blue" which will go onto a small list of my special BIG songs, i.e. reference songs that I play for guests when I want to make a statement.

If you feel like taking a chance, then give it a go. I was told on Friday that there are only 150 copies left so I'm not sure how much longer it will be available.

You can listen to 40 seconds of a few tracks including "Blues Still Blue" at http://www.bluesandviews.com/liveandloose.htm.

I like that Blues Still Blue track! :yesnod:

The other three aren't bad either, but they aren't that kind of mean ol' guitar blues that BSB is. Good catch Big'.

On this day in 1968, country musician Johnny Cash recorded a live concert at Folsom Prison in California. Back in the early 1950s, while serving in the Air Force and stationed in Germany, Cash had seen a documentary on life inside the prison. This inspired...

      Summer Songs...Need Suggestions
      by SiliGoose
I'm making a mix CD of songs with a Summer theme. I was hoping you guys might be able to think of songs I haven't yet considered. The songs don't need to mention the word "summer", rather, I just want songs that make you think of things pertaining to summer (beach, ocean, bikinis, vacations,...
