Although Mose Allison was best known as a songwriter whose work was widely covered by other artists, he was also a musician in his own right. I can thoroughly recommend his "Greatest Hits" album which gets played as often as any other CD in my house. It is a perfect album for late night listening or for background music when you have guests.
Some of you may recognise the song "Young Man's Blues" which was made famous by The Who on their "Live at Leeds" album.
