What new Jazz and pop is out there to listen to guys?

Any new Nora Jones? Diana Krall?

What about other jazz favorites? Any new music that is popular?

I admit, I have drifted away from buying music, the last few years. Doesn't mean I don't like it though. I do.

Of course, the classics don't change, once they are classics. But it's nice to have something new every now and then.

If we don't start talking about music some here, I'm going to merge this section with audio. It's not smart to keep a section around that is not used.

Diana Krall - Glad Rag Doll

Diana’s recent release, ‘Glad Rag Doll’ has garnered V mixed reviews.

It is a major departure from her standard repertoire. A compilation of songs she remembers from her childhood when ‘entertainment’ at home was her parents having friends & family together singing & playing music. These are songs from a different time, & she explores a different style with the same talent she has possessed from the beginning. For those who can not accept that an artist should be free to explore new ideas & forms, there is her entire previous work & I am sure, more of same to come in the future.

But for this current album, I am glad to hear a new, fresh interpretation of some of old standards.
