Satchmo fans take note

There's a new Louis ( Satchmo ) Armstrong live album being released. It is from a performance at the Washington National Press Club on January 29, 1971. It was the last recording made of him during a live concert that was meant to be released to the general public. Satchmo died that July and for some reason the album wasn't released, but here it is 41 years later. It's called : " Red Beans and Rice-ly Yours: Satchmo at the National Press Club ".

I was a trumpet player in my younger days and Satchmo was my idol so I will get my hands on this one soon and do a little review after I get a chance to drink it all in.

Could be awhile before I get my hands on this. Amazon is saying ships in 1 to 3 months. Think I'll hold off ordering and keep an eye out locally.
