Pandora at work via desktop system and on the road via laptop. At the house, not so much as I'm still not that crazy about the sound quality of 'net radio vs. my other options.

I use Last.FM. I like that you can listen to your Last.fm library or radio. I also like that it's muti-channel. Like David stated about Pandora, the quality is hit and miss. Most sound pretty good to me.

I stream via my XBox 360 through my HT. My biggest issue is, now and then you get a song with a mix that is, to say the least, strange.

Okay, I made a mistake. Above I stated that Last.FM has muti-channel... it does not !

It appears that, the two things which lead me to this conclusion, fooled me to thinking as such.

        1) As previously stated, I stream the site via my Xbox. Which is set for (of course) surround playback. So when I switch to streaming music, my processor was still showing Dolby Digital 7 (I have a 7.1 setup).

Under normal conditions, my processor will default to the current stream and display such.

        2) My left and right speakers image better than I give them credit. :B
I was without a doubt certain, several tracks where multi-channel. When infact, nothing but the left and right speakers where reproducing sound.

So, sorry for any confusion my previous post may have caused. ops:

Internet Radio - What's Your Favorite Station?
          by Blindamood
Okay, time for a new thread...I've been listening to a lot of Internet radio lately (via my Logitech Transporter and Duet), and wanted to share one of my favorites.

When I was in college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, there was a cutting-edge alternative rock station (97X) that...

New BW setup! 805D with DB1
          by wised
Finally went diamond. I considered the new D3 804's but they don't go on sale in the US till January, plus I was already in love the 805 D's. Couldn't wait :B 805' plus a DB1 is more expensive than a pair of 804's but the bass extension is worth it. I matched them with a McIntosh MAC 6700 200 watt...

Why does XM radio sound so bad?
          by Jeff
I have recently purchased a Benchmark DAC1. The purpose of this purchase was two fold. The first to provide better resolution for 2 channel enjoyment via my CD player.

The second, was much better resolution of XM radio via my DirectTV satellite. Listening to XM radio by using the dac's...

Been lurking for ages so figure i'll post something that i discovered a few days ago.
I recently found out about internet radio. As a big fan of jazz and particularly smooth jazz, the Smooth Jazz radio on SKY.fm is great. I first heard it this past weekend with a live show broadcasting live...
