    Bon Jovi on Dual Disc

Bon Jovi's got a couple discs out in high-res audio of sorts. But look what I just saw came out on Dual Disc:

Does the DVD side have a true 5.1 mix?

Have a Nice Day is also available on Dual Disk with a 5.1 Mix if I remember correct

Well, I originally found this on the Acoustic Sounds website, a great source for hi-fi audio media. (SACD, DVD-A, vinyl records, etc) I'm sorry to say, but I've found better prices on other sites, though, so after I find an album there, I usually but it somewhere else.

I found 4 high-res audio Bon Jovi albums on Acoustic Sounds:

        1. This Left Feels Right - hybrid multichannel SACD
        2. Have a Nice Day - DualDisc
        3. Slippery When Wet - DualDisc (can't find info if it is multichannel or not)
        4. Bounce - Single Layer multichannel SACD

Here's the link to Acoustic Sounds' Slippery When Wet for $18.98 + shipping

Here's the link to the same DualDisc album on Amazon.com for $14.99 (free shipping for orders over $25)

I already own "This Left Feels Right" on SACD - it's an interesting acoustic, semi-elevator-music version of their best songs.

        Hope this helps!

          Chris,

I actually like This Left Feels Right, if for no other reason than it gives a freshness to those songs that I ennjoy sometimes. Can't say the mix is outstanding, but not a bad mix either.

I need to dig out Have a Nice Day and give it a looksy about the multichannel.

To me the only purpose the Dual Disk serves is more outlates for my Multichannel desires, if it doesnt have a mulitchannel track I just buy the regualr CD.

Agree on the Accoustic Sounds websight. It's a great referance but there are only a few instances where I buy from them, because of price.

True. Well, I was in our military store today (the Base Exchange) and noticed the Slippery When Wet DualDisc for $12.99. How convienient... so I picked it up. The CD part plays fine in my front-slot car CD player. I noticed a lot of hiss tied into the treble sounds, though. Hopefully that's not there when I try the DVD-A side.

Yes, it does have 5.1 and stereo DVD-A tracks on the back side, as well as music videos.

I own the redbook CD of SWW, but it's been a while since I listened to it. I had forgotten how good the album is--truly a complete album. Every song is a good one, not one that makes you want to skip to the next song. Great 80's rock.

I love to blast "Raise Your Hands" at top volume. That song definitely is high-adrenaline.

Ah... I played DVD side in my theater tonight. Sadly, I still heard a lot of hiss in the media. On the DVD side, a couple of songs seem to be re-recorded, which is interesting, and they sound better quality-wise with less hiss. Specifically, "Raise Your Hands" has a new intro, which I didn't like NEARLY as much as the original, which just explodes with sound.

Overall, not a real high-quality DualDisc.
