    silver plated copper or pure silver

    Hi,
    I want to buy a digital coax cable (connection DVD to AV processor).

    What's your experience with noticeble soundimprovement between a silverplated coppercable and a pure silvercable. The price difference is about 2½ times. Is the pure silver indeed much better?

      Solid material is preferred. But since electrons travel at a high rate of speed, they tend to migrate to the surface of the wire anyway. So silver coating does have impact.

      Will there be that audible a difference? Depends on the cable really.
