Running B&W 603 or 604 with NO SUB, Please advise

    Running B&W 603 or 604 with NO SUB, Please advise

    Looking for any feedback regarding either set of speakers on the 2 channel music front and also HT usage what are the results. Do you really miss the giant rumble of explosions or the bass slamming from music.
    I would like to avoid or hold off a Sub purchase and run these speakers as Large front setting. Is the power amp going to suffer or be pushed too much without a sub. Please advise

      It's not going to harm your amp or anything else. What you will be doing is miss out on a couple of octaves of information, whether music or SFX.

      So no harm, but I would get a sub as soon as you can.

          I've done some research and the choice is between the 603 (or perhaps the 604) and the 705. My wife prefers the 705 (she doesn't like those...

          I've listened to the 604's and the 703's. The 703's sound much better to my ear, however, the 604's are very good. To me, the 604's sound better than the Energy C-9's (a former option).

          The 703's seem overpriced when compared to the 604's. Basically, you get two 604's for the price of...
