    MichealW, Get to work

Post some pics of some Unison, or Wavac or Manley or MBL. Get some two channel juices flowin around here, its a ghost town!

I guess I came across the the ulitimate post to show how far us 2channel Dinosaurs have slipped down the audio chain. This guy just bought a Nad 520 CD and a Creek 4330R integrated amp. He was asking where to hook up the digital output of the CD player into the amp. "Don't all units have DACs in them?". Didn't even dawn on him that analoge was a possibility. I ain't knocking the guy, just his "audio world reality" was based in a HT/Digital age, while mine is in a mono/stereo/analogue age.

How long does it take to become a fossil once you find yourself extinct?

    EdP,

Good to see you posting over here. Fossil, hey I resemble that remark :-) Unfortunately, I have been extremely busy taking care of the 11 week old baby.

Feel free to post some pictures. I think your Houston amps would be a great start.

Geesh, anything to slip another post in. Is there no rock unturned Andrew? lol.

I was aware that X2 has lost a bit of it's oomph. But I was also aware of the new crumb cruncher. Enjoy your time with your baby Michael. When your ready for a change of pace, we will be here. When you try to write an A, and can't do it without following it with B and C, it's probably time to get back over here. lol.

Since ht is our name, we never really expected to become 2 channel king anyway. But we do hope for a few posts.

Way to light some fires up around here Ed! Tell me again, who invited you? lol. :B

Yes, but often only in spirit.

Matched Quad of 6550C's were under the tree.

6550's are beam power pentode's, a relatively high power tube, Lexman. Used to use four of them in my Marshall amp in the output stage- they held up better than the standard EL34's. I doubt that's where EdP will use them, though!

                Happy New Millenium, everyone!
