As their site notes, they cater to the "custom installation" market. They used to advertise very heavily in Home Theater magazine. (Since it has been a while since I've picked up that rag, I don't know if they still do or not.) And, yes, they are not bashful about asking for a ton of cash for their products, which, believe it or not, used to get rave reviews in Home Theater magazine. :>)

They were struggling to define its identity. Under its previous name, "Stereophile Guide to Home Theater", it was becoming almost a clone of its stable mate, "Home Theater" magazine. Apparently they couldn't convince enough people that the two magazines offered enough that was both... -
I currently subscribe to Home Theater Magazine but am considering one of two: Widescreen or Sound & Vision. I just learned that Sound & Vision use to be Stereo Review....geeze I almost feel obligated to S & V since SR did a system review of my system back in 96.
