    Art for your ears :)

Prepare your eyes for a visual orgasm of the utmost kind. I find this company's 2 offerings here so visually striking, as to beg for buying them, regardless of sound! :-)

EAR V20 Valve design! Wow! Only 4495!!!

Or you could opt for a pair of these:

For a mere, 35,000 USD. Ouch!

For anyone curious about the rest of EAR's line, here is the official website:

Burke, The best I can tell you is this stuff deserves a read. Hey, I found them anyway. Only 2 places in the US appear to have their products. So, you won't find them down at Walmart, or even Circuit City. lol.

George, I can only wish man, that's for sure!

MUST BUY - The Art of Flight
              by Chris D

There are some discs that I consider MANDATORY purchases for HT/music enthusiasts--Chris Botti Live in Boston BD, Dire Straits Brothers in Arms 20th Anniversary SACD/DVD-A, Apollo 13, Cars, etc.

If you haven't already, add "The Art of Flight" of that. There...

Check out the very pedestrian DVD cover artwork we'll get on the Region 1 version of We Were Soldiers and then, below that, see the beautiful work that the Region 2 cover will sport. No contest.

Not wanting to sidetrack another thread I thought I'd start this one. A link from Caplocks Homegrown Seas coaxial thread was rather interesting. One of the speakers this guy has built is among the nicest looking speakers that I have ever seen. It also appears that he either has access to or works for...

very much off topic, but i wanted to mention this sad bit of news.
while many folks have mixed feelings on the usefulness of audio journalism (and now being a manufacturer in the industry myself, i have an even wider perspective that hints toward it not always being as unbiased as some would like...

              help, brain is melting
              by jberg
              hello

I built myself a set of little speakers using the HiVi B3N and the Dayton ND20FA-6. I crossed them at 4000 Hz using a 2nd order filter and an L-pad to push the tweeter 10 dB down

But whenever there are a lot of esses involved it feels like my brain is melting and...
