    An Audio Oops

I kept thinking something was wrong with my left speaker, just that it sounded thin. Finally, I examined it closely, I realized my driver was not excursing at all. Of course, I began to curse!

I checked the plug, and low and behond, both conductor wires were disconnected from the screw on banana I use. Ok, it's not as good as spades, but sometimes I have to move stuff and then it's much easier. Sonic loses? Perhaps.

Anyway, got it reconnected and it sounds much better now!

    D'OH!!!

I've noticed that my bananananana plugs seem to loosen themselves also. Luckily I move stuff around enough so I tighten them when doing so.

      Lex,

You do not want to see the bi-wire hack I have installed right now

Yeah, I could not believe my eyes when I saw what had happened. Recently I had to move my left speaker to pull my rack out for CAT work, and boom, that's when it happened somehow, as the stiff AQ wire doesn't particularly like the bending that goes on with the dual banana setup. I will obviously pay closer attention to this until CAT comes out with spade speaker wire that is a worthy replacement. That is if they ever do. Right now, I think it's status queue. To much other stuff going on right now to introduce new products unfortunately.

I'm also not talking about the RCA that I snapped off into one of the inputs of my amplifier -- fortunately I got that repaired while I had some review gear in.

Dadgummit, that was not fun, fortunately it also had balanced inputs.

          Regards,

John, you do know you can delete duplicate posts as a Moderator, no? lol.

I have had an RCA that fit to tight pull one off before. That's one thing I like about the locking connectors, come off very loosely once you get the loose. Just don't overtighten though or getting off is a real drag.

So true John, lol. Your a straight up sort of fellow it seems.

I almost deleted that last post of yours for excessive niceness, ROFL.
