    Incorrect Bi-wire: any damage

So today my installers came over to help with new tv setup etc.

While here I asked them to assist me in swopping my speakers around.

They ended up messing up the connections of my bi-wire setup at the one speaker end. They connected one wire (+-) to both positive terminals and the other to both negative terminals. See pic. Is this a short?

When I switched the system on I immediately noticed no sound from the one channel. I powered down immediately and fixed (while swearing) the connection.

Switched back on and everything seems fine.

    Could something have been damaged?

Amp is Classe CA2200 and speaker B&W803 .

Hmmm... no, I don't think anything should have been damaged. It won't work like that, but if you've corrected the wiring and everything works now, you should be good.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

There's no short or damage unless you had the jumpers installed between the two sets of speaker terminals (as you would in a non-biwire/biamp setup). But obviously it won't work either.

          B&W damaged tweeters - What's the cause?
          by sharkman777
I have a setup of 602s - front towers, back bookshelves, center channel and sub. Both the front tower 602s have damaged tweeters (image enclosed). Is there any way these tweeters were damaged simply by normal usage (i.e. they were blown) or would this have to have been physical damage (i.e. someone...

          Damaged woofer - what happened?
          by Rolex
I built myself a set of speakers. They used a 5 1/2" silver flute as the midbass driver. I kept them for a while, but wanted to move on to another project. I sold them to a gentlemen in the next state over. The shipping company caused some damage to the tweeter, so he sent them back to me for...

Bought a pair of used RD50 ribbons on ebay and was guaranteed that the drivers were not abused and functionality undamaged.

They just came in and with a close look these ribbons look like hell. There are at least 25 spots where the ribbon appears to be strained and deformed. Two particular...

One of my 805S speakers got knocked over and damaged.
          by romnation
Someone knocked over one of my stand mounted 805S speakers and it proceeded to fall into my power amp, which left a big gash in the top of the wood, and some scraping near the back, as well as some scraping on the side of the speaker. Also looking at the tweeter it looks like back of the tweeter (where...
