    Scosche RH600 headphones/Review

I was at a Walmart (I know...I know!!) the other day and stumbled across the above headphones. Box said they were 'Reference Grade' They were on sale and the box looked really good and the phones looked like excellent quality. Now bare in mind that I have a set of Grado SR 80's that I have been listening to for years. Figuring that I could easily return them if I did not like them,,,, and....wondering if headphone technology has improved since the mid 90's, I decided to give them a try. Well firstly, the 'out of box' experience was fabulous, leading me to believe that I was in for a good listening experience!!.

Well, it took about 10 seconds to put them back in the box. It's not that they were horrible but they simply did not even come close to my Grado's.

Keep in mind, all speakers/headphones do need to break in.

That might be true but my Grado's sounded great right out of the box and I guess have got somewhat better over the years.

I believe these cans are more aimed at computer/ipod dudes than someone who wants audiophile quality sound. :W

However, I loved the whole out of box experience and testing them. even if it lasted only 10-15 seconds.
