I couldn't get past the Apple will only allow PCM paths... so basically they are ruining it for everyone! LMAO!!!

Good read, I definitely think there needs to be a unifying "transport" for digital audio data at these higher rates so that everything basically outputs the same information then the flavoring is based upon the DAC more so than how you're outputting from a computer.

Having recently purchased an Oppo BD83NE, I can now enjoy a few hybrid SACD's that I own.
The Oppo has the ability to output DSD or convert it to PCM through the HDMI input but unfortunately the SSP800 does not process DSD streams.

I found CDs that say Telerac DSD format or simply a DSD CD. What is DSD besides Direct streaming?? I though that DSD meant that it is a SACD CD format?? Am I wrong?? So what is the difference between DSD and SACD??
