Is the rcd 990 still a good cd player to buy? There is one on offer, its even upgraded, clock and opamps are replaced.

I was very happy with my Rotel RCD-1072 bought a couple months ago until I took it to do A/B testing with a modded old Rotel CDP. The modded unit wins hands down. :T The 1072 sounds very good actually. I had compared it with other models before I made my decision.

I love my RB-990BX, but I'm wondering if I should replace it with an RB-1080, and if there would be much of a difference. Other than the 12v trigger, physical appearance, and balanced inputs I can't see much of a difference between the two.
