Speakers for Outside??

    Speakers for Outside??

    hello all,

    i have a yamaha rxv-657 reciever. looking to hook up a pair of speakers to place outside on the patio if company comes over. any recomendations?
    will be using a yamaha cd player also for jazz.

    I think these look interesting.


    I haven't heard them, but have heard other Mirage speakers long ago and liked them. Though, that doesn't mean much. They are omnidirectional, which I think would be nice for outdoors.

      Best bang for the buck we've found is the Polk Atrium 45's or 55's (depending on your bass needs)

        i saw a pair of energy c-100 on craigslist for $100. thinking about getting these. i will not be leaving them outside. i'll only use them when i need them. taking them in & out will not be a problem. any energy fans???

          I've heard very good things about Energy speakers, likely a good choice for the money. The only small loudspeaker I've owned were some older Wharfedale Diamond speakers. I really enjoyed them, but gave them to a friend who needed some speakers a while back. They sounded very good sound for the price ... I got an closeout model discounted for $125.
