    ARC upgrade advice

I'm looking to upgrade my Citation 19's and possibly ARC LS7 with additional ARC amp(s) and pre-amp. Rest of equipment includes Vandersteen 2C,Esoteric P700, CAL Sigma II and ARC interconnects. I've had recommendations for D 240s , D 115 or V 70 in decreasing order. I've also had recommendations to upgrade the LS7 to a LS17 or LS15. Any thoughts. I have had no luck finding D240s.

the LS-17 is a fine pre, its pedigree traced to the LS-26 and Ref-3.

While I'm a big fan of ARC gear, been in my system for twenty years, I prefer their tube amps. There have been a few Vt-100mkII pop up on the "Gon" lately, fan cooled if that bothers you. If your budget allows take a listen to the ref-110, sweet piece !

BTW, in case you didn't hear, ARC has been sold !

Not if you still enjoy it ! The 6922 tubes are not exspensive to replace, nothing wrong that pre, put your $$ into your new amp(s) first, give a listen to the 17 or the 26 and see if it makes sense for you down the road.

          Call ARC

Call ARC tech support. Nobody knows this stuff better than they do. They give good info as well. All tube power amps are costly to run due to tube replacement cost that's why ARC came out with some Hybrids.

            DVD upgrade advice

I am currently trying to decide if I should replace my old Toshiba 2109 DVD player with a Denon 2900 or 2200. I am interested in whether there would be much video and audio improvement (other than DVD-A/SACD) with my current system (listed in profile).

My current TV is a late model 36”...

            Mains upgrade advice (long)
            by DS-21
I've found myself with a little time to breathe, and I'm going to upgrade my mains. The main point of this upgrade, honestly, is aesthetic, because big grey studio monitors are ugly. But since I'm going to be spending the money on new cabinetry anyway and my new-to-me receiver (Denon AVR-4306, bought...

New to Rotel, Upgrade advice to 1095
            by kkanumuri
I just hooked up my rotel system yesterday. Running a 1068 with a 1075 amp. It was an upgrade from a Denon AVR-3300. I do not beleive the difference in Music this makes. I just realized how much, I am missing out. So, know I want to upgrade everything, as I am in love with this system. Now, this...

B&W N802 and Classe upgrade advice
            by audiophied
I am currently running my 802s with Classe's CAP 2100. This used to be adequate but I just moved and my new listening area has a 12 feet high ceiling and the area is less enclosed (the room opens up to the right).

So my question is whether it would be better to buy a sub (considering...

Hi all, I need some advice for upgrading my home theater. It currently is composed of a Denon X2000 Reciever, 2 Polk Monitor 70 mains, a Polk CS2 center, Polk Monitor 60 surrounds and JBL LOFT-50 rears, and a Formula F-12 12" sub. All in a 7.1 arrangement. I really enjoy the setup for home theater,...
