"Klipsch Palladium™ Floorstander a Symbol of Supreme Luxury"

Just saw these today on-line and they look promising. It sounds like there is a whole new line (6 speakers) coming out in 2008.

I hope they sound as good as they look.

    Personally,

I don't like the criss-cross grain or the choice of veneer for that matter. I think they'd look better in rosenut, pine or piano black.

Also, I'm wondering if those 3 rear ports will make a lot of "chuffing" noise

They come in rosenut and also a darker color but I am not sure what it is. They are out at the end of the month.

For $15,000 you could get alot beaterr looking and sounding speakers.

While your probably correct, until someone looks at the components and actually listens to them, you can't really know that.

They are priced pretty high. It is hard to say if they will hold up to price or tag not. There is lost of competion at this price point but they my hold there own. Klipsch Horns did well when they came out. The k-horns may not have been the best speaker but they are a lot of fun to listen to.

I think if they were $10,000 more people would be willing to bit (myself included).

I currently own the RF-83's and they have 3 ports in the back. I haven't noticed any, but then again all I run them with is a Sony 5200es (gotta love that high efficiency horn...). And they're only 8 inch woofers instead of 9, not sure if that would make any difference or not. plus i cross them over at 60 hz.

                Well designed ports don't chuff.

I have RF-62's for the time being. While drivers are much smaller I think Klipsch has the port design in their speakers down. My speakers have 2 3" ports they are quite big considering its 2 6.5" mids.

                    You got that right.

Jerry, is this the mother of all Klipsch that you hinted to me about well over a year ago? The CEDIA pics have looked promissing. Maybe we'll get to see the Palladium make another appearance at CES next year.

From the pic they look to be 6 ft. tall. Would the Tweeter and Mid be too high up for listening when seated? I know some want the tweeter at ear level.

                        Hi Everyone!

The Flagship Palladium (P-39F) is 55.5" high, and there will be 2 smaller versions to follow, with 3 finishes available.

I realize I'm biased, but they sound fantastic :T

Thanks Klipschgirl :T ...you have been really making the rounds. I have seen you on head-fi.org and many other forums this week.

Can you give us a retail price for the smaller two pairs?

Yes, I'm in marketing. I run our forum and our online store (and our ebay store). I have been all over the place lately! I need to expand my horizons.
Don't think I'm just here to schlep our products though...my goal is to listen to our consumers and pass along information as requested... If I come across as an annoying sales-type person, just tell me to hush.

As always, feel free to email me with any Klipsch related questions.

No firm pricing on the small models yet, but I can certainly pass it along as it becomes available. Much more affordable than the big daddy, though!!

                                      Klipschgirl:

I can give you my feelings on this model and the Klipsch speakers I have heard.

I spent many many hours in front of a pair of Klipsch Horns some years ago and liked them pretty well. They lacked the last bit of refinement found is some of todays high end speakers, but were "fun" and punchy. I listened to them in a very large room; 20X15X18. This might have led to the lack of low bass and added to punch in the 80-120hz range. The experience left me with an intrest is Klipsch.

I also spent a fair amout of time with a pair of RF-7. While they were ok, their midrange (or lack of) was a deal beaker. They lacked transparancy in the vocals and quickly became out classed by other brands of speakers.

I currently own B&W 703 and am looking for new speakers. I have listen to many speaker and have narrowed it down to the B&W 803 (802 )) and Focal JMlab 1037. But would also like the hear the new Klipsch line.

The P-39F is priced to hang with the big boys of engineering in the speaker game. I hope they are up to the task.

Hope that helps a little anyway. I am sure many people are thinking the same thing.

Good luck to you and Klipsch :T .

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I liked the LaScala's sound. With Mac valve amps , the LaScala manages to blend "powerful" with "liquid" in the sound department. The new speakers are intriguing. I wonder if Klipsch woul hit the market , in that price range , with a speaker that didn't deliver? Of course , I tend to like warm amps and speakers like Paradigm and Klipsch. I could almost like Maggies , but the lack of bass kind of kills them for me. I'd love to hear them! Hi , Klipschgirl! Welcome to the forum.
