    What is WBT?

I was doing some research on my amp and there appears to be two versions. One without WBT terminals and one with WBT terminals. i can't seem to figure out what WBT is though. Can somsone please explain to me what it is and what the benefits (if there are any) are. Thanks

wbt terminals are the type of speaker wire plug on the back of the receiver, that may accept either banana plugs or angled spades

WBT is a brand name, like Cardas. They make relatively expensive binding posts, jacks and plugs, solder, etc.

WBT is a term guys use in describing things seen in strip clubs, i.e Weawy Big Ta-Tas. (said in an Elmer Fudd voice)

Premium quality German made connectors. Supposed to be sonically superior to inexpensive connectors.

So is it a brand or a type of connector?

                  DM601 s3's and Banana plugs...compatible?
                  by corysmith01
I just ordered some terminated speaker wire today. I upped the gauge to go thicker than I'm currently running and thought "what the hey, banana connectors would be a nice touch." My instruction manual for the 601's says this:

"The terminals accept 6mm (1/4-in) spades, bared

                  Spades for RMB-1095: what diameter?
                  by hired goon
                  G'day,

I thinking about getting some spades for connecting my speaker wire to my RMB-1095. What diameter do I need? The 1095 is back in its rack now, and I can't find the diameter of the WBT plugs on the Rotel site.

Stupid question, how to connect spades to the WBT 5 way binding post?
                  by LED14
                  Hello,
I have a Classe Cap2100 amp and I'm trying to figure how to connect spade terminated cable to it?
I can unscrew a part of the binding post but it won't disconnect and I can't see where I shod stick the spade in...?

In my speaker terminals you can...

banana plugs or spades to connect to amp
                  by tboooe
Hi, I read somewhere that spades are the preferred method of connecting speaker cables to the amp because banana plugs causes too much of a voltage drop (or something like that). Can someone please explain why one or the other is preferred?

                  Hey guys and girls-
I just became an 'official' member of Club Rotel with my purchase of an RSX 1055 and an RX 1050. The options are incredible, so I'll have to sit down and study for a while, I did get the clock on the remote set, whoppee!

Now, for my question: The most trouble...
